There should be a "clear all"-button, to mark every unread notification as read.

I suppose you mean for the ones in "History" section?

I tried to place a clear button in there but I couldn't make it not look bad. The context menu entry "Clear notifications" will now also clear the history in 5.12.1.

Maybe it could sit to the right of the "History" header text? Sure, it would scroll out of view, but with a huge list, you wouldn't bother to scroll much if at all; you'd just hit the "clear history" button instead.
