Description Geert Janssens 2017-10-21 12:20:04 UTC
When I select multiple mails at once and then hit the delete key, the mails disappear for a fraction of a second and then return to the list. I suspect the mails are deleted on the server side though because
1. looking at the same mail folder with thunderbird, the messages are gone
2. restarting kontact/kmail updates the list correctly

Also before restarting kontact/kmail (and after hitting the delete key), these messages do appear in the trash folder (both in kmail and thunderbird). So it seems kmail (or akonadi?) is getting confused when I try to delete multiple messages at once.

It's unfortunately not happening each time. But I can easily reproduce it 99% of the time. I haven't figured out yet what's different in the 1% where it does work. It seems like it works when the program is first started and I haven't manipulated any mails yet, but that's just a first guess.

I didn't see this problem with kmail 5.4.3 (the current default on Fedora 25). The issues started after upgrading my system to Fedora 26, which ships kmail 5.5.1 at present.

Fedora has upgraded to KMail 5.7.0 and I'm happy to report this issue is now fixed. I can delete multiple mails in one go again.
