kontact (5.7.0) using Qt 5.9.2
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Simply restarting
- Unusual behavior I noticed:
I'd closed contact because it was failing to show the contents of a message, but processor activity and memory usage hardly reduced at all.
On restarting Kontact, the akonadiserver process is currently using 278Mb of memory with the associated mysql process using 160Mb of memory

kontact (5.8.3) using Qt 5.9.6
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I started Kontact from the start menu because it had disappeared from the screen when a new email was arriving. The crash message appeared when Kontact was starting up, with the main window visible on the overview screen.
