Tested Dolphin (no sound when I delete folders/files), K3b (no sound when it finishes a disc copy) and Ktorrent (no sound when a download is finished).

I use Arch, plasma 5.11, gstreamer backend.

plasma plays the notification sound when I change the volume level using my mouse wheel.

and you have a sound set in knotification settings?

does it work there?

ktorrent has no sound configured.

Dolphin is not available in knotification settings.

K3b has KDE-K3B-Finish-Success.ogg, nothing happens when I click the play button to test it.

I tested all items with notification sound enabled in knotification settings. None works.

I'm testing plasma 5.12 beta on Arch Linux... still no notification sound.

I just reinstalled Arch, notification sounds play now.
