Possibly does not work because of Qt-version mismatch (Okular KPart being built against some system Qt, while kdevelop built against appimage Qt), so the loading of the plugin is rejected/fails. So for bundled kdevelop app distribution the embedded editor/viewer lookup needs to be reduced to whatever is part of the appimage only. Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. Overview: Can't open PDF files with okular embedded. Steps to Reproduce: In the filesystem dock, right-click on a pdf file then click on open with, then in embedded editors click on okular. Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: Embed a view of the PDF file in the editor area Build Date & Platform: Build 2017-10-02 (Version 5.2 Beta 1, Appimage) on KDE Neon 5.10 (Ubuntu 16.04)
