The new release kdenlive-17.08.1-x86_64.AppImage can be uploaded.

But it’s a bug : no sound

With the image kdenlive-17.08.1-x86_64.AppImage, I confirm no sound and looking at Help/About it appears that it is the version 17.11.70 look at the attachment.
and launching in bash window i get
SDL failed to open audio: No available audio device.

The alpha3 version of Kdenlive 17.12 has also the same issue and the same version.

Perhaps an error when packaging the 17.08.1 AppImage ...

Thanks for your report. Sound issue and version number fixed for both AppImages just announced on the website.
