Do you use a slideshow as the wallpaper, or any other desktop widget that changes images (comic applet etc.)? I've been having a problem with the swap filling up, bringing the system to a halt Neon 5.10.5. I finally tracked it down to setting the desktop wallpaper to slideshow. I have tested this on two different laptops with the exact same results. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 381000 *** (In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #3) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 381000 *** Bug 381000 refers to high CPU usage. That is not the problem I am having. CPU usage is normal on my computer. The problem is the swap space filling up and crashing my system when the wallpaper is set to slideshow. The ticket tracks both, because the image is recreated continuously during animation. |
