When Konqueror 4.x opened a new window, I could immediately start typing a URL or web shortcut in the location bar. With Konqueror 5.x, I have to hit F6 first, to put the input focus on the location bar. Given how often I open a browser window on the average day, it would really help me if the locaton bar would be automatically focused again. Maybe not for all URLs, but at least for "about:" and "about:blank".

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version?

I can no longer reproduce the problem with Konqueror 22.08.3.
