Mouse location and icon+drag and drop location offset
offset showcase |
It submitted when I hit enter after attaching the screen shot and before I had typed everything. Here is what I intended to submit. When using two monitors, drag and drop has an incorrect cursor or icon location. In the attached screen shot, the cursor is on the selected image. The icon for the drag and drop file is off to the right. This always occurs with a second monitor attached, and never occurs when using just the laptop internal display. This problem occurs with all apps such as Digikam, dolphin, browsers, etc. I am running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, current as of 2017-09-24. Hardware is an x86_64 architecture. Laptop display is 3480x2160, external monitor is wide aspect ratio 2560x1080. $ rpm -qa '*plasma*' plasma5-addons-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 plasma5-session-wayland-5.10.5-1.1.noarch plasma5-workspace-branding-openSUSE-42.1.1-23.1.noarch plasma-nm5-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 plasma-nm5-pptp-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 patterns-kde-kde_plasma-20170319-9.1.noarch plasma-framework-private-5.37.0-1.1.x86_64 plasma5-workspace-libs-5.10.5-2.1.x86_64 plasma5-workspace-5.10.5-2.1.x86_64 plasma-framework-components-5.37.0-1.1.x86_64 plasma5-pk-updates-0.2-7.4.x86_64 plasma-nm5-vpnc-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 plasma5-session-5.10.5-1.1.noarch plasma5-pa-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 plasma5-defaults-openSUSE-42.1.1-23.1.noarch plasma-framework-5.37.0-1.1.x86_64 plasma5-integration-plugin-5.10.5-1.1.x86_64 plasma-nm5-openvpn-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 plasma5-theme-openSUSE-42.1.1-23.1.noarch plasma5-desktop-5.10.5-1.2.x86_64 x or wayland? $ loginctl show-session 1 -p Type Type=x11 Can confirm this bug as well. Happens on Wayland but don't know about X11. It appears to be about one icon row off offset in Dolphin. This is a Plasma 5.20 issue and it always happens not only in a multi monitor configuration. Maybe I should open a separate bug report? (In reply to alexander.reimelt from comment #5) > This is a Plasma 5.20 issue and it always happens not only in a multi > monitor configuration. Maybe I should open a separate bug report? Can you provide a screenshot? It might be a different problem. Also make sure it is not https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425258. first part: pointer clearly over directory but not highlighted
second part: pointer way to far to the right but Dokumente directory highlighted
when starting and ending the drag & drop operation the cursor visibly jumps right and then left (In reply to alexander.reimelt from comment #7) > Created attachment 132442 [details] > offset showcase > > first part: pointer clearly over directory but not highlighted > second part: pointer way to far to the right but Dokumente directory > highlighted Thanks. As I somewhat suspected, this looks pretty much like https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=425258. See my attached screenshot there where I experience a similar problem with dragging and dropping from dolphin to the taskbar. Haven't noticed this in a while probably fixed. |
