In the folder view properties we are having different types of information that can be shown/hidden for specific folder(s). I would like to hide names to create sort of beautiful gallery in a folder. When I untick the 'Name' field nothing happens, after closing and reopening the properties, 'Name' field remain ticked and names are still shown.

This has been recently fixed in master (see duplicate report).
There are no plans to allow hiding the names, unfortunately. Dolphin assumes that the "text" property is always available and it would take a lot of work to change that.
