Description miklos 2017-09-20 16:54:09 UTC
When switching to a different desktop, and ending the effect, the zoom-in starts by showing the target desktop being empty (no windows) for 1 frame. This is a regression compared to 5.8.

Sorry but I don't really get where the bug is. You selected DesktopGrid effect, but your description doesn't fit. Is that for the DesktopGrid effect or a different effect?
Comment 2 miklos 2017-09-20 19:07:44 UTC
Yes, it's the DesktopGrid effect. When you activate it, the screen zooms out to show all the desktops. Then you can use the cursor keys or the mouse to select a desktop to zoom back to. When you zoom back to a different desktop than the one you were on before, it shows the target desktop with no windows for a moment at the start of the animation. I hope this description is more understandable.

Now I noticed that this also happens when dragging a window from one desktop to an other in the DesktopGrid effect.

This issue report is quite old. Can you please confirm, that it still persists with KDE 5.23?
Comment 5 miklos 2021-11-07 17:22:09 UTC
With Plasma 5.23 I can no longer reproduce this.
