Krita doesn't do that, it's the window manager which does that. Whether or not that is configurable depends on which window manager you're using. Thanks for the prompt response! I won't assume there is option to ask for advice here seems it's an invalid report although I was guided on Krita's IRC to report a bug here about this. system related info: nvidia 375.82 / kde plasma 5.8.6 / Qt 5.7.1 / kernel 4.9.0-3-amd64 It's ok if it will be deleted anyway. With kwin, the option is here: right-click on the titlebar choose More Actions/Window Manager Settings Go to the Desktop Effects page Search for "Dialog Parent" and uncheck it.
