Description Magnus 2017-09-17 14:00:50 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
- Start kdenlive
- Add clip "music.mp3" and "video.mp4" to your project. (You can download these exact files from https://utby.minimum.se/index.php/s/7cBpBNob6xaDXdA .. although I suspect this bug has nothing to do with these files)
- Put music.mp3 on track "Audio #1"
- Put video.mp4 on track "Video #1"
- Apply effect "Audio correction" -> "Normalize" to video track
- Note that the normalization works, and is by default set to 100% gain.
- Sound of ocean waves are amplified as expected.
- Save project to a new file, quit kdenlive.
- Start kdenlive, load project.
- Observe that the audio of video track is now "muted" when you play the project. This is because kdenlive adjusts the gain to 0% when it loads the project, even though it was saved as 100% gain.

The same thing happens if you render your project. E.g, apply an Audio Normalize effect, render movie and the output have muted video audio, even if the audio is there when you play it through kdenlive preview.
Comment 1 Magnus 2017-09-17 14:02:02 UTC
Summary of bug: kdenlive does not preserve the gain parameter to audio normalization when it saves (or loads) projects.

This results in a behaviour where a saved project is not the same project when you load it later.
