For me (Spectacle 16.04.3). The save as automatically suggest a filename with png extension. If I delete the .png extension from the filename the program automatically adds the png extension (I think this is an expected behaviour.) Marton, I agree with you that the program should do both of those things. However, mine does neither one. Yes, I would expect the program to provide the png extension automatically. That is why I am reporting this bug. I am using Version 15.12.3 Attempt to do "save as" get the error as reported. NO there is NO filename suggested, so no ".png" suffix. These are the error messages: Get this pop-up box: QImageWriter cannot write image: Unsupported image format click OK Get this pop-up box: Cannot save screenshot. Error while writing file.
