Years ago, I suggested change clipboard icon to scissors. I was surprised, you took my suggestion. The reason was at the time I put launchers on panel, often KATE or KWrite next to system tray, and I'd get confused which was text edit or clipboard. Sometimes when KDE4 and P5 load a certain way, I still see the old clipboard icon. In theory someone could be in that confusing situation, but personally, I've had more stuff in my system tray for years, so I don't have that situation anymore. Maybe the change was still good, or maybe people should have an option? I'd guess the majority of people would think of a clipboard before scissors, since you don't always 'cut & paste,' also 'copy & paste'... even I do, and of course, when you cut paper, you might put it on a clipboard. Currently, I'd be okay with either icon, but I thought, maybe you took my suggestion too far, if most people would at least want a choice (and most don't have the problem I had?)

Hi,

thanks for the bug report. I understood the issue but the clipboard is there since a long time and I think users already know and use it, also I think it is understandable.

I understood the behaviour of scissors but as I wrote there wasn't any feedback that someone had a problem with the clipboard and I don't think it's a good idea to change the icon now after the breeze-icon "brand" work.
