Description Störm Poorun 2017-09-09 17:37:31 UTC
In KF5 Dolphin has regressed.

Previously, if a link was created in places to a tag (i.e. tags:MyCompany/)
Then any file(s) or folder(s) dragged to that place would adopt that tag.

This no longer works. Dragging and 'moving' to a tag causes an error saying cannot delete source file. Dragging and 'copying' to a tag place does nothing. Dragging and 'linking' to a tag place does nothing.

This is needed for those folks using tags as it provides a faster and more intuitive way of tagging and managing tags.

I can do this with Dolphin 18.04:

1. Create a tag "test" & assign a random file to the tag
2. Add a new Places entry with the target "tags:test/"
3. Drag n'Drop another file onto the entry
4. Select "Move..."
5. The file gets tagged with "test" and is searchable via this tag

Can you confirm that this behavior is now working as expected?
Thanks!

As already mentioned in comment 1, I cannot reproduce this behavior with Dolphin 18.04 & we did not get a response by the reporter, so I'll close this report. Please reopen if you do still experience the issue. Thanks!
