In an imap folder that contains more than 4000 emails kmail does not display anything in the list.
Selecting any other folder with less than 500 emails shows the list correctly when clicking on any folder with a large ammount of emails, the list stays blank.

Gentoo Lixux Stable
akonadi,contact, kmail, kmailtransport versions: 17.04.3
Frameworks: 5.34.0

Reproducable from 3 different systems.

It seems that the problem does not exist currently.
Running on akonadi,kmail,kmailtransport versions: 22.04.3
QT Framework: 5.96.0
