A video would be helpful. I'm not able to reproduce this in my Neon. perhaps I'm not understanding the problem. when the cursor reaches the edge, the file is no longer displayed as being hovered over in addition, when the cursor is at the edge, scrolling doesn't work and the file cannot be selected via clicking https://webmshare.com/0KWzP Thanks for the video! I can see the issue now. However I'm not able to reproduce it with a fresh Neon install. If you create another user account and log in as that user, does the problem still happen? It reproduces for me both with a freshly created user account and in a live session. Huh, weird. I'm going to have to defer to someone else with more knowledge here. doesn't seem to be reproducible here please provide output of: qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation Please also attach your ~/.config/kwinrc Created attachment 107696 [details]

did a little more testing, specifically the left edge causes this issue, though the panel functionality is unaffected if moved to that side (no matter how close to screen edge, all panel buttons work) especially the left edge or only the left edge? only the left edge it's particularly annoying during web browsing as I typically park my cursor there when scrolling I thought it was all edges at first as I first noticed the issue in Dota 2, where edge panning (moving mouse to edge to move camera) is entirely non-functional, though that's probably a different issue entirely. with any application run on the desktop, it doesn't take mouse input when the cursor is all the way to the left I could put my panel there and call it a day, but I'm a little surprised that nobody else can replicate this issue, given the relatively standard specification of my hardware and the lack of difference of behavior in a live session. Same problem on Arch, plasma 5.10.5. Please consider disabling the touch edge. It is a known problem that screen edge support kills one pixel on X11. On Wayland this issue does not exist. I'm totally honest: I don't expect that we can address this problem anytime soon. how can I disable the touch edge? all of my "Active Screen Corners and Edges" are set to "No Action" *** Bug 384453 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to gst402 from comment #16) > how can I disable the touch edge? > all of my "Active Screen Corners and Edges" are set to "No Action" I second that. I found that in System Settings > Desktop Behavior > Touch Screen, I had left edge enabled for "toggle window switching". But disabling it doesn't fix the problem. Heh, this worked. I set System Settings > Desktop Behavior > Screen Edges left edge to something, and then unset it back. That fixed the scrolling! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 380476 *** |
