Sentry Crash Report:

Description Alexander Mentyu 2017-08-23 08:01:08 UTC
Prerequisites:
1. Task Manager is selected as main Panel layout.
2. Two instance of one program opened.
3. One instance of any program opened.
4. 'Show tooltips' option enabled in Task Manager settings.
5. Grouping 'By Program Name' option enabled in Task Manager settings.
6. 'Open groups in popups' option enabled in Task Manager settings.
7. 'Only group when the task manager is full' option disabled.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Hover over grouped program task.
2. Wait for grouped task tooltip to appear.
3. Hover over single instance program task.
4. Pay attention to tooltip between hovering from grouped into single program task.

Actual result:
Tooltip with stretched vertically text appears for single instance program task. Right after that tooltip becomes in normal style for that single instance program task.
Comment 1 Alexander Mentyu 2017-08-23 09:50:22 UTC
Tooltip stretches only in vertical Panel position.
Comment 2 Roman Gilg 2017-09-11 16:43:09 UTC
So you mean the animated transition from the grouped tasks tool tip to the single one shows the text stretched for a few ms?

Comment 4 Roman Gilg 2018-08-25 21:30:54 UTC
Does it still happen sometimes or not at all anymore? Because there was a patch to fix tooltip widths: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382571
Comment 5 Eike Hein 2018-09-04 09:39:52 UTC
Let's wait for a response.
Comment 6 Alexander Mentyu 2018-09-04 10:05:51 UTC
I can still reproduce it
Comment 7 Unknown 2020-09-19 05:10:13 UTC
I experience this issue in Plasma 5.19. Another user said it also occurred on latest master.
Comment 8 Nate Graham 2021-03-04 20:33:02 UTC
Fixed for me. Can anyone provide a video, maybe? Just to make sure we're all talking about the same thing.
