I never install any appimage because they crash my graphic system based on last Enlightenment/wayland.
Normally, I can easily compile DK git/Arch Aur but today, I can't update.
DK git site seems down, I get :
'fatal: Unable to look up anongit.kde.org (port 9418) (Temporary failure in name resolution'

AppImage has only X11 support not Wayland.

Wayland is not yet enough stable, and slow.

The git repository is switch to maintenance stage but it's back now, as i can use it here...

Note : AppImage do not install anything on your system, and don't need to install extra package, as all in bundle in single executable

It depends on compositor/ environment, may be...For me, Wayland works better, quicker, than X, with some minor bugs, on my Enlightenment (git) graphic environment. Most importantly for me, it does not crash with two sessions open at the same time, which is not the case for X.

Yes I could build DK 6 beta with Arch Aur, no bug for me now, wait and see...
Best regards
