Description Joao 2017-08-14 10:09:28 UTC
When I open the Application Dashboard and start typing in it, it often misses keyboard keys. This seems to happen in the Application Dashboard, Application Launcher and Application Menu:

- Application Dashboard: some keys are missed. I often type "chrome" and get "chome" or "chme" or "crome".
- Application Launcher: the keyboard is pretty much useless there. no keys are entered
- Application Menu: behaves just like the Application Launcher

The keyboard works fine otherwise in all other applications.

Found the issue. It was the same underlying root cause of [1]. Needed to activate IBus somehow.

This can be closed then?
Comment 3 Joao 2017-08-15 12:56:35 UTC
Close it, although it would be great if the underlying lack of IBus was fixed. I found the solution by pure luck.
