Description Alexander Mentyu 2017-08-14 05:51:43 UTC
Add ability to drag virtual keyboard, change it's size, ability to pin it - so keyboard don't hides after text field focus lost.

Virtual Keyboard overlaps 'Networks' tray WiFi password prompt popup if Panel is located at the bottom of the screen. Similar overlapping is also happens for app menu when start typing/searching in app menu. If there will be a possibility to change keyboard size and position - a lot of UX problems can be neutralized.

Add ability to deactivate/hide keyboard from keyboard interface itself.

We definitely need to improve the on screen keyboard.

I'm not conviced moving the keyboard about really solves the problem.

We know the position of the text input wanting focus. IMHO we should move that into view automatically, not make the user have to toggle the keyboard about to find things.

I'm going to retitle the bug to explain the problem, not what a possible solution is.

This is tracked in https://phabricator.kde.org/T5169

As we don't need to track planned changes in two trackers, I'm setting this one to LATER.
