Does it depend on the used web engine type? You can Konqueror to use KHTML, WebKit, or WebEngine, if the required packages are installed. Using WebKit mode, it works here with Konqueror from master branch. The dialog appears with KHTML also. I have no "WebKit" choice in the settings, probably I'm missing some package? I'm using Fedora 26. (In reply to Giacomo Montagner from comment #2) > The dialog appears with KHTML also. I have no "WebKit" choice in the > settings, probably I'm missing some package? I'm using Fedora 26. I have a similar problem, after upgrading fedora25 -> fedora26 (this entails konqueror-16.08 -> konqueror-17.04) If I run $ konqueror page.html it opens an empty konqueror window whereas the html document gets opened in a running firefox window! Of course "page.html" is a valid local HTML file. Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version? If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you! I do not experience the reported issue (both of them actually). So I guess we can close the bug report |
Hi, if I try to run konqueror with an url parameter, say: $ konqueror 'http://www.kde.org' or if I set startup options as following: When Konqueror starts: Show my start page http://www.kde.org instead of loading the page on startup, konqueror opens a dialog asking how to open document (saying: "Type: HTML document"), with 4 buttons: "Save as...", "Open with firefox", "Open with", "Cancel". If I start Konqueror with an empty page (or with the default start page) and then type in the URL in the URL bar it loads the page without problems.
