Hallo,

irgendwie funktioniert die Rechtschreibung nicht mehr, ispell, aspell usw. sind installiert. Menü Extra->Rechtschreibung, blinkt kurz folgendes auf;

kein Backend für Rechtschreibeprüfung verfügbar.

with bin-translater

Hello

Somehow the spelling does not work anymore, Ispell, Aspell etc. are installed. Menu Extra-> Spelling, flashes briefly the following;

No backend available for spell checking.

Are you sure that ispell/aspell language are installed ?

Which is your distro ?

Where your distro install ispell/aspell etc ?

Yes in synaptic are both as well as other Xxspell enabled.

My OS (distro) is Debian 9 (Stable)

It's probably not up to KMail, the message; "No backup for spelling" is found under "System Settings->Regional Settings->Spell Checker", although I chose German as the default language. Can I please help, urgently, thank you.

Believe it solved.
I have installed the packages 'libenchant-dev' and 'sonnet-plugins'.

The message 'no backend...' in the system setting has been replaced by many languages that are to be selected.

And after restarting kmail it also works the spelling, hooray.
For my it's fixed, thanks.

Resolved by installing missing packages; these really should be automatically installed for every application that uses sonnet. I suggest to report this issue directly to the bug tracker of your distribution.

no problem, as said for me it is done. It was annoying that it had to be tried and tried a few days before it finally worked.
