Screenshot of the settings of double clicking on the space where fading options could be set up, kdenlive is 15.12.3

Hello...

My KDEnlive is Version 15.12.3,
KDE Frameworks 5.18.0
Qt 5.5.1 (kompiliert gegen 5.5.1)

Linux Mint 18.2 with fixes/updates

Old system, old KDEnlive offered, when double clicking on the clip, after having added the fading out/in to/from black, or the fading in/out, an option for easily changing the durance and some other settings. Instead of it, I get the same options like clicking on the space/clip where no fading is added.

Please see where my mouse pointer is. Formerly, there I hat another option in the filed above, not for changing the clip options, but for setting up the fading options (for example, so that the fading lasts 2 seconds instead of 3).

Thanks, best wishes,
Thilo.

The problem exists as well when double clicking on the fading information (fading triangle) in video, sound and picture clips in the project.

You are looking on the wrong place for the parameters. Goto view -> click on “properties” and you see the fade parameters.
