After the fix for bug#379297, some countries are still "invisible" on the political map, e.g. Russia and Germany.

See attached screenshot.

Tested with 17.04.2 with the fix for bug#379297 attached, and git master.

Is there only a political map available for windows users, not for MacOS?

No idea, I only ever used the Linux version.

What does this have to do with this bug report though?
Better ask e.g. in the forum instead.
