I started freshly digikam, created an album and tried to fill it up. So I clicked the Import button (with the camera icon), then I realized it is not what I wanted so I tried to close the window. It didn't work so I had to kill it with xkill.

It crash in database interface. There is no reason for that.

Please try with Linux AppImage bundle 5.7.0 to see if problem is reproducible :
