At one time the Application Launcher would stay open until you were done with it. It is quite annoying now, when configuring the desktop after an installation, to have it close after an app is added to the Desktop or the Panel. For me that is at least 30 times just to set up the Desktop and the Panel. Is there a solution for this?

Add the applet to the desktop, and drag fromthere.

I think it's too much of a niche use-case to be cluttering the UI with, sorry.
