KDE Plasma 5.10.2 windows decoration rendering problem

I've upgraded KDE Neon 5.10 on my old machine with the latest updates, and windows decoration doesn't work properly.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
Windows decorations are not rendered properly - there aren't shadows nor rounded rectangles, just simple white line around inactive windows (approximately one or two pixels wide). I created screenshots with a dark theme in order to better see the issue, but basically it's the same with every other theme.

EXPTECTED BEHAVIOR:
Windows are rendered as before, with proper decorations for edges/margins.

NOTE:
Graphic card is old but everything worked perfectly well until today's update.

ENVIRONMENT:
Platform: KDE Neon
KDE Plasma Version: 5.10.2
KDE Framework Version: 5.35.0
Qt Version: 5.9.0
Kernel Version: 4.8.0-56-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Graphic server: XOrg
Graphic card: AMD/ATI Radeon HD 4650

Please enable compositing.
Comment 2 MitraX 2017-06-23 20:47:48 UTC
Martin, thank you for your promptly response.

That was the cause of the problem. It seems that the latest updates turned the compositing off. However, this would be another issue so you are able to mark this one as resolved.

Thank you again.

KWin probably crashed due to the update which turns compositing off.
