Description Yan King Yin 2017-06-18 15:24:15 UTC
I cannot find some special emoticons in any of the categories.

They are from the range:
U+1F600 GRINNING FACE
U+1F640 WEARY CAT FACE

This bug report is not actionable without additional information. Please provide the following:
- Where exactly are you looking? System Settings > Icons > Emoticons > EmojiOne? Or somewhere else?
- Your distro
- Your Plasma version

I'm closing the bug for now, but will re-open it if you can attach more information.
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2017-06-18 23:58:52 UTC
Emoticons are available since version 1.13.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 142625 ***

Nate, not everything is Plasma. If you have no overview of the various applications that are shipped by KDE developers, I suggest to not confuse bug reporters.

Noted. This was my bad: I stupidly didn't notice that the bug was filed against kcharselect, not Plasma. I'll be more careful in the future!

I'm using KCharSelect 1.12 on Ubuntu 16.04 on my desktop computer. Thanks for telling me about the bug duplicate. But I have trouble updating to KCharSelect 1.13. Apt-get says that 1.12 is the latest version. How can I install it manually?

Please ask in a forum of your distribution how to update to newer KDE application versions.
