the moment of the crash...

I'm not a guru :)... I only find linux as a great OS and this is my first time to submit a bug.

1) When I open kalarm on desktop it fails with three times repeated dialog boxe with "luck of templates" message.

2) After hitting the only button "OK" at each of the three instances the kalarm (KDE) desktop aplication opens.

3) After selecting "configure kalarm" from menu it disappears and does not exist as a process either (checked with KSystemGuard app )

I am ready to help with other details that might help. I just need guidance on how to...:)
Comment 2 David Jarvie 2017-06-16 10:48:28 UTC
What is the exact wording of the three dialog boxes which you mention?

Does it always crash when you select Configure KAlarm? Did a debug dialog which opened after the crash? If so, can you please copy the crash trace from there. Without that, it isn't possible to investigate the crash.

If you can provide the information requested in comment #2, please add it.

If there is no crash dialog, you could try running kalarm in gdb or valgrind. For more information, please see https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports
