Can you make krunner aware of firefox profiles? So that, for example if you start typing 'firefox' in krunner it will suggest open firefox with profile A, open firefox with profile B, and so on;

This is a cool idea, thats why I created a plugin for it https://github.com/alex1701c/FirefoxProfileRunner.

And to include this functionality in KDE there would need to be an extra plugin. 
This is IMO a bit too much effort considering that there is a community based plugin for that. A KRunner store will be added in Plasma 5.20 which will make these plugins more discoverable :-).
