First question, if you open the notifications settings, are the file paths actually being saved? i.e. is this a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375931 ? Created attachment 105986 [details]
Configure Notifications screen shot
The path is being stored correctly. Do any other notification of any other KDE Frameworks program work? Because i'm thinking your system is somehow broken. Can you attach the output of $ dpkg -l | grep phonon4qt5 ? I don't know that I'm running any other KDE frameworks packages that use notifications. Audio works fine with Amarok, so I assumed everything is there to play audio properly. Sounds won't even play in configuration screen when I hit the play button. dpkg -l | grep phonon4qt5 returns: ii libphonon4qt5-4:amd64 4:4.8.3-0ubuntu3 amd64 multimedia framework from KDE using Qt 5 - core library Does installing phonon4qt5-backend-gstreamer help? Yes!!! That's got it. Thank you very much. Can you please report a bug against rsibreak ubuntu packages linking to this discussion? Done. Thanks again. I appreciate your assistance. |
