Thread 49 should be the crashing. So the cause would be libgphoto2. Maik Right Maik, i don't see the annotation "Crashed::" : Thread 49 Crashed:: Digikam::CameraController 0 libgphoto2_port.12.dylib 0x0000000116e780dd gp_port_info_get_name + 4 1 libgphoto2.6.dylib 0x0000000116df6fe0 gp_camera_set_port_info + 66 2 libdigikamgui.5.5.0.dylib 0x000000010f171427 Digikam::GPCamera::doConnect() + 1383 3 libdigikamgui.5.5.0.dylib 0x000000010f15e87a Digikam::CameraController::executeCommand(Digikam::CameraCommand*) + 266 4 libdigikamgui.5.5.0.dylib 0x000000010f15e71f Digikam::CameraController::run() + 447 5 org.qt-project.QtCore 0x0000000115cbfb7b 0x115c94000 + 179067 6 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x00007fff9463e93b _pthread_body + 180 7 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x00007fff9463e887 _pthread_start + 286 8 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x00007fff9463e08d thread_start + 13 So GPhoto2::gp_port_info_get_name() is called and crash. This is typically a bug in libgphoto2 OSX port. René, please report this problem as UPSTREAM to libpghoto2 team. Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier A new fresh 5.8.0 pre-release PKG installer for MacOS was just rebuild for testing and is available here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeiVr-byqt5Y0tIRWVWelRJenM Please confirm if the problem remains with this version. Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426938 --- Comment #4 from caulier.gilles@gmail.com --- Hi, digiKam 7.2.0-beta2 pre-release PKG installer now support BigSur and is compiled with last stable Qt 5.15.2. https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Problem still reproducible with this version. Thanks and happy Christmas in advance Best Regards Gilles Caulier digiKam 7.2.0 official release is published with more than 360 files closed from bugzilla: https://www.digikam.org/news/2021-03-22-7.2.0_release_announcement/ Can you reproduce the dysfunction with this version ? Thanks in advance for your feedback Gilles Caulier Rj, Stable digiKam 7.4.0 is published. Please check if problem is reproducible. https://www.digikam.org/download/ Thanks in advance With previous version of digiKam, a bug about libgphoto2 give an empty Gphoto2 driver list. And of course, using a Gphoto camera crash digiKam. After recompiling whole macports for next digiKam 7.6.0, including last libgphoto2 2.5.28, the problem disappear. List of Gphoto2 driver is back : https://i.imgur.com/elfzIcG.png So this bug will be fixed for next 7.6.0 release. Gilles Caulier Also see my comment about notarization of digiKam PKG installer to have access to camera : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120192#c3 Next 7.6.0 have been fully recompiled from scratch under MacOS with Macports and now Gphoto2 camera list is back. https://i.imgur.com/KUQVBDz.png I can download from my iphone to my macbook pro without problem.
