OS/Compiler notes: 

Kwintv first install work perfectly. Shutting down the app and restarting: it has no sound.  Restarting KDE does not refresh links to sound card. Rebooting will bring sound back to Kwintv.  Shut it down run it again - no sound

Sorry folks, kwintv is old code and not being maintained because it's so brittle.  We have started a 
rewrite, which is quite usable now (though incomplete).  You can try your luck with it from 
kdenonbeta/kwintv3/, or wait for a real release sometime this year. 
 
Thanks for reporting the bugs.  Hopefully you'll have much better luck with the rewrite.  The 
developers find it to be much better already.
