Hi
I am getting a problem with an application in kde environment and that is SPECTACLE . I am using debian unstable(stretch) with kde on my lenovo g580 laptop.
The problem is that the application SPECTACLE gets automatically launched in middle of my work (like browsing internet or reading pdf, etc.), each time when i try to close it then it again pops-up automatically and takes a new screenshot.

An application cannot launch itself. Please check if you have assigned it to some global shortcut.

Hi Christoph Feck,

According to you i have checked global shortcuts and found there that a
shortcut "SHIFT + PrtSC" is assigned for taking a screenshot but i have
never used that shortcut.

What i want to tell, can be understood through a video which i have
attached with this mail.
Also one thing which i have missed earlier is that, when the program
SPECTACLE launches itself and if i move to another application (say
DOLPHIN or System Settings or any other) then the focused menu or button
or selected thing stars flickering automatically. All this occurs only
after the automatic launch of the application SPECTACLE.
When I close SPECTACLE, most of the time it again pops-up and when i get
tired closing the SPECTACLE application i leave it as its or minimised and
after two or three minute all the flickering gets vanished and then i
become able to close SPECTACLE .

Again the above said all those thing occurs repeatedly any number of times
but the interval cannot be predicted.

The problem which i am describing above have been noticed by me earlier in different distros also such as in RED-HAT_ENTERPRISE Linux5(with gnome-screenshot) and in debian 8(with ksnapshot).
Currently I am using debian stretch as described before in the bug report.

Thanks for the update; changing status.
Comment 6 Prabhakar Prakash 2017-06-09 08:06:14 UTC
Hey...
I have noticed something that after removing the global shortcut for the application SPECTACLE, the problem caused by it never occurred to me again.

Okey, so I was right with comment #1 :)
