Package:           konsole
Version:           1.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity:          normal
Installed from:    RedHat RPMs
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux
OS/Compiler notes: this bug exist in KDE 2.2.1 from RH7.2 distrib and 2.2.2 from KDE rpm for RH7.2

For reproduse:

0. Login KDE from user (not root)
1. Start Konsole.
2. Type su -
3. enter Your root password
4. run mc
5. press Ctrl-O
6. In command line type any characters but not press Enter
7. Close Konsole using mouse.
8. Have Your CPU - 99% usage.

For this bug just
1. Logon as user
2. su -
3. enter password
4. tupe any character and double press Tab (for question about possibilities)
5. close Konsole by mouse.

99% CPU usage too... :(

I can but only with the "mc"-way.

I can also reproduce this with mc in xterm but not in gnome-terminal!?

Seems I can reproduce it with bash now too... seeems like a bash (readline?=
)=20
bug though. E.g. as if it fails to notice that it's file-descriptors are=20
being closed or something.

Have got a similar problem in 3.1.3. 
Open konsole under user, su to root, start top and use mouse on x to close 
window sned CPU usage to nearly 100% and system temp rocketing!
