I used to have DigiKam 4 and just upgraded to 5.5. on Windows 10. I have all my photos on a SD-card and when I try to add them I get a dialog saying (translated from Swedish) It was not possible to add a collection at the following search path:
D:\Photos

This error occurs both if I chose local or removable media.

This problem still reproducible with current 5.8.0 - pre-release Windows bundle available here :

Note : there is an option in Setup/misc config panel to use native file dialog instead Qt one. By this way you will see all mount point from Windows. Please test and feedback.

With next 5.8.0 release Mysql support have been well improved and a lots of bugs fixed.

Please test with pre release 5.8.0 bundles that we provide and give us a feedback

Cannot replicate problem on Windows 10 with 12-Dec build of 5.8.0. I can add collections photos from an SD card using both DigiKam and native dialogues.

Recommend to close.
