Same issue on Windows 10, but worse performance.

Description caetano 2017-05-07 02:17:49 UTC
Watch this video :

there was also a bug report :
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372221

Given that it's been several versions since the new selector was introduced and this issue hasn't been fixed, I think we could at least have an option to use the old "working" selector until the new gets fixed.

I use fill layers all the time and this popup color selector is the only one we can use for these layers.

Thanks for your attention.

Color Selector skipping cursor (Video)

Even though I noticed considerable improvements (I find that the lags are not that harsh in latest beta 4), unfortunately I can still reproduce the jerking behaviour on Ubuntu 14.04 Unity using "krita-4.0.0-beta1-b322ae6-x86_64.appimage" (see video).

Surprisingly, Windows has the same issue, but it's much worse. The Advanced Color Selector docker actually performs much better than the internal color selector. But updates much slower than the internal color selector when both are being used.

Can you please check if the issue mentioned in #c3 and #c4 are still present? I believe they got fixed by Lynx3D. And if so, can we close this report?

As far as I can see (which means on Linux only), this issue has been entirely fixed.
