No sound at all, no audio

Please take this up with your distribution, we do not handle sound, something is wrong in your installation. Check the sound settings of Puselaudio in particular.

With distribution you mean the Operating System (Mint 18.1?)?

With distribution you mean the Operating System (Mint 18.1?)?
If it is the OS I cannot find a product in the pull-down menu.

I solved the audio problem with internet support. Other problems now USB speakers don't work, have to reboot after USB speakers disconnected to get the analog audio working again, cannot stream any audio or video from the NAS. Occasionally no internet connected through wifi, after boot only black screen and mouse pointer have to reboot again. The list seems to be endless. I will look into the distribution forum.
