Sentry Crash Report:

Description NiO 2017-04-30 20:21:01 UTC
When I transfer files to my NAS over a mounted NFS share, Dolphin becomes completely unresponsive. I can't click any buttons or interact with the UI in any way. If I click a button, sometimes it will register my click 10 seconds later.

Using KDE Neon 5.9.5, Dolphin 17.04.0, Frameworks 5.33.0

Are other file managers (or console commands) responsive using the same setup? We usually recomment KIO slaves to access remote sites, which cannot freeze the UI, but I am not sure if the access protocol you are using is supported by KIO, afaik we offer http[s], ftp[s], fish/sftp (ssh-based) and webdav.

Apologies, forgot to respond the first time. I'll check this out a little later and report back.

I just recently did a fresh reinstall of Neon so I'll see if that changes anything. It seems a lot of other issues I had creeping up over time with my old install we're fixed with a clean install so maybe this will be too.

Sorry again for the delay.

I finally tested. Yes it still exists on a fresh install of Neon, and yes it happens on other file managers. I tried Thunar and it was completely unresponsive as I was transferring to my NAS. So.. not dolphin related after all, I suppose

Thanks for the update; closing.

I suggest to investigate which method was used to mount the share and report this issue to developers of these tools.
