Description Filipe Saraiva 2017-04-29 18:59:36 UTC
Hello gearheads, in past we (KDE in Brazil) utilized the RSS feed provide by Planet KDE Portuguese to send our news across several social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Diaspora, and more.

Unfortunately the specifics planets were dropped, now we lost this feature.

Is it possible to configure the current Planet to provide specific RSS feeds to each language? We would like to get the RSS feed to posts in Portuguese back.

Adding a system admin, because he might be able to suggest who to assign this issue.

I'm afraid that in its current form Rawdog doesn't have any support for this. Alterations would need to be made to the codebase to allow this type of feed to be generated.

Adding Riddell who maintains Planet for his comments.

Just to add an information, currently KDE Brazil is using a drupal plugin in order to aggregate Brazilian Portuguese blogposts and get a feed for them. This is our workaroud.

In other hands I think this feature commented in this bug is important to have back again, so I just changed the title of the bugreport to a more general description.

Sorry for the hassle, I did ask quite a lot of people about those locale specific planets and couldn't find anyone who was even aware of them never mind used them.

As Ben says Rawdog doesn't currently support this. It's probably not hard for anyone who wants to try a little Python

After some years and after a new migration of Planet KDE, I solved this bug. https://invent.kde.org/websites/planet-kde-org/-/commit/f17763cdab956dc77d99ea9cc63fc7f7079a1a21
