Are you really using Krita 2.9, or a later version? Please make sure you're using the latest version (https://download.kde.org/unstable/krita/3.1.3-rc.1). If you have an Intel GPU, please make sure you have the latest drivers (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/). If you cannot figure out how to install those drivers, try disabling opengl (https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Krita_starts_with_a_black_or_blank_canvas_and_nothing_changes_when_you_try_to_draw.2Fshows_a_black_or_blank_screen_on_my_Windows_system_with_an_Intel_GPU) If none of that helps, please make a proper crash report: https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger Hi Lostghbear, Can you please try the latest version of krita, and check if this is still reproducible.
