- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Using the devices pop-up to initiate import of photos from my Honor 5C phone. The import window came up but when I scrolled the whole application crashed and the reporting assistant stepped in.

This problem is solved since a very long time. Try to use last 5.5.0 release with AppImage Linux bundle or the current pre-release 5.6.0 available here :

digiKam 5.6.0 is now released and available as bundle for Linux, MacOS and Windows.

This crash cannot be reproduced with 6.0.0 release. I close this file now.
