Description Chaotaz 2017-04-25 21:12:38 UTC
I was working with the program, inking some line art, everything was working normally, I restarted the program and from then on I couldn't get it to work properly again, the pen pressure isn't being detected and for some reason when I start to draw a line it doesn't show it for like 0.3 seconds and then it just jumps to the current point where my cursor is from when I started drawing the line, then it draws perfectly from then on, always creating a straight line at the start of the line I draw (the part that jumped straight to my cursor from the starting point). Happens every time unless I go REALLY slow. Before it was working properly, I had the same issue, it just randomly started working normally. It's as if it fails to detect my drawpad most of times.

Have you tried restarting the computer? It sounds a bit like the tablet driver is getting confused.
Comment 2 Halla Rempt 2017-04-26 08:04:36 UTC
Note that the Genius tablets have really, really, really atrocious drivers.
Comment 3 Chaotaz 2017-04-29 20:59:41 UTC
It when I restart computer, then it's only once, It apparently seems to be working only on the first launch after I've restarted my computer, when I launch it again it's like it doesn't detect the tablet anymore or something, even tho I can use the tablet normally in any other paint tools, I really want this to get fixed because I like Krita the most so far, it works the best for me.

It only works once after a restart, when I relaunch it doesn't work again.
Comment 5 Halla Rempt 2017-04-30 11:32:27 UTC
Yes -- that is because the driver is getting confused. It apparently remembers it already had created a wintab context for krita, and now there's suddenly a new instance of Krita! The driver then refuses to create a new context, and Krita doesn't get tablet events. This is a bug in the drivers of your genius tablet -- there is _nothing_ we can do to fix it, you should report the issue to genius. Not that you'll get any reply from them...

Sorry for the late reply, I agree with the fact that the genius drivers
aren't the best suited for what I want to do. I got a new drawpad and
everything is working fine now. Thank you for replying.
