Attachments: | Layer properties for a layer containing text where the drop shadow has disappeared. |
I mistakenly marked this as a problem with the dockers. I didn't mean to make that selection. This is a problem with drop shadows on artistic text. Hi, Thanks for your report. This is a known problem with the old text objects, we're rewriting the text object at this moment. The old ones will be completely replaced. |
Created attachment 105165 [details] Layer properties for a layer containing text where the drop shadow has disappeared. Yesterday I used Krita to create artistic text, and I added colored drop shadows to the text. I used custom colors for some of the drop shadows, and default colors like black and white for others. When I was done with my work, I saved my file and closed it. I continued editing other files. When I re-opened the first file, the drop shadows were gone. The other files didn't have this problem so I assumed it was a problem with that one file. I closed the file and restarted Krita, but the problem persisted. I then created a brand new file and started over from scratch (throwing away a couple hours of work), but the same problem occurred. At the end of the day, I saved all of my files and closed Krita. Today I started Krita and opened the same files. The drop shadows have disappeared from all files now - even the ones that were working yesterday. Is there a way to prevent this from happening again? Can I recover my work? I've included a screenshot of the layer properties for one of the layers where the shadow has disappeared. I am using Krita 3.0.1, and I am saving my files using the .kra file type. My computer (laptop) is Toshiba Satellite E45W-C with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-5015U CPU @ 2.10GHz running 64-bit Windows 10 Home.
