Same for me. I am using 17.04.1 as AppImage and dragging a MP4 video from library will crash. The file will show up but then the app closes with similar terminal output.

The MLT file (attached) was created a few minutes before with the same version of Kdenlive. Appimage version 17.04.0 on XUbuntu.
