It will help to see the debug statements printed by digiKam will it running. You need debugview tool from Microsoft for that. There is no reason to see a difference between windows and Linux to process DNG files. It low level code using standard fonctions. I suspect a file system access problem, as long file names or UTF8 compatibility. Gilles Caulier I've tried in other computer with windows 10 and fresh DigiKam installation; the problem persists. It only shows the thumbnail and when you to open DNG file the only thing you get it's a black image.(in some cases very localized spots like noise) It's only for Olympus ORF files, I've tried with Minolta MRW and works well. (sorry I've not other raw files to test and I don't know about programming The converted DNG in DigiKam shows a very tiny strange simbols in title where in well converted DNG in linux shows "OLYMPUS CAMERA". It seems as if something were corrupted Can you share a ORF test image? The problem is not to reproduce under Windows7 64Bits with my ORF test images. Maik Here: http://cybergrix.net/grix/orfdng/ you can get 5 files the original orf file the corrupted dng and the properly converted one in linux and two screenshot that shows how both thumbnails are shown in DigiKam (note the small simbol that appears in the title of the corrupt version) Thanks Grix Thanks for the test image. But also with this ORF image I can not reproduce the problem under Windows7. I will check the days it under Windows10. Maik I confirm that problem is not reproducible here with Windows 7. Q: Do you use a special path scheme name to host ORF files, as non latin1 characters ? Gilles Caulier No, in the fresh installation I used a new created directory in the same unit. I'll try to test in windows 8.1 later Grix digiKam 5.6.0 is now released and available as bundle for Linux, MacOS and Windows. https://www.digikam.org/news/2017-06-21-5.6.0-release-announcement/ Can you check if problem still exists with this version ? Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier Bundle 5.6 works OK in linux what´s the name of bundle for windows? Thanks Guillermo Installed new version (13-Jun-2017 05:44) Still not working in windows 10 pro 64 works perfectly on linux bundle When the image is properly converted the photo footer should show "OLYMPUS IMAGE CAMERA". In windows version there is no footer Lightroom works in the same computer and writes the footer "OLYMPUS IMAGE CAMERA" and conversion is good I have tested in other computer with windows 10 home 64 with same result. Image is black and only thumbnail can be seen. There is no "OLYMPUS ... " footer any ideas ? is there anyone that can test in windos 10 ? thanks Guillermo Munoz P.D.linux bundle is (in my opinion) much safe and better way for distribute programs is there a bundle for windows ? Windows installer is a bundle too... Gilles Caulier Look like bug #381432 is exactly the same than this one. There is a trace of DNG convert while running under Windows 10. I make this file as duplicate of #381432 Gilles Caulier *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 381432 *** Not reproducible in 6.0.0 |
