So we make extensive use of KNewStuff in KStars, and we have large data sets (from a few kilobytes to gigabytes). I noticed that KNewStuff is a missing a few key features:

1. No standard way to include payload size? It seems everyone just putting the size within the summary or description.
2. No progress dialog. Just a spinning "Installing" icon and no feedback at all. Feedback (%) is important for large downloaded.
3. No way to terminate/cancel download after it started.
4. Previews look terrible. Looks like previews are resized to some low-resolution standard size. You can not click them to get full resolution image.
