This is by design: Kate's tab bar is not a typical tabbar and also behaves differently. Currently, there are no plans to change that. |
Created attachment 105046 [details] Style applied (background window), new kate session (middle) and screenshot of kate in Trusty with applied tab style kate: tabs' style stay at the default style "breeze" regardless what style i apply systemwide in system settings' style/appeareance (design and style "oxygen"). It is the only program within kubuntu 16.10 i recognized so far with this behaviour. When showing version in kate, it says 16.04 (rather than 16.10), is this just not being fully ported?
